Infobright Announces Technology Alliance and Joins Actuate BIRT Global Partner Connection

Integration of Self-Managing Analytic Database with Actuate BIRT Report Studio and Interactive Viewer Provides Solutions that Deliver Cost-Effectiveness and Rich Data Access
Toronto, Ontario - June 23, 2009 - Infobright, the open source data warehousing company, today announced the company has joined the Actuate BIRT Global Partner Connection as a BIRT Business Partner. The collaboration will provide integrated bundles of the companies' products, which include Infobright's self-managing analytic database software and Actuate's value-added offerings for Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT), the leading open source information application development environment and a top-level Eclipse project co-founded and led by Actuate.

"Infobright is a proven solution that, when bundled with Actuate's value-added offerings for BIRT, provides enterprises with rich interactive applications. For rich information application development, Actuate has created a full suite of value-added offerings based on Eclipse BIRT to offer options for creating rich interactive dashboards, mashups and web applications. Joint customers will be able to house Actuate BIRT Report Studio and BIRT Interactive Viewer on Infobright's self-managing analytic database software. Infobright Enterprise Edition (IEE) is the commercial version of Infobright Community Edition (ICE), a freely-available, open source product. Both products are proven alternatives to today's high-cost, high-maintenance data warehouse products.

The initial version of Actuate and Infobright's integrated solution is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2009.
