Sonus’ Network Analytics solutions, which includes NetScore™, NetEng™ and NetAssure™, help keep networks running at optimal efficiency by automatically capturing, scoring and transforming data from Sonus network elements into actionable information. Sonus Networks chose Infobright® Enterprise Edition as the new embedded analytic database to store and analyze large volumes of call data.
Challenge
Shifts in network traffic, transient overloads, outdated configurations and inefficient call routes can all negatively impact network performance. Network operators need fast access to call data with the ability to instaneously drill down into the data to manage network performance. Sonus Networks determined they needed an embedded database with fast query response and with the ability to do ad-hoc data analysis, while keeping more data history using less storage.

Solution
Adding Infobright to the Network Analytics solutions will give Sonus customers the ability to do fast ad-hoc analysis and immediate drill-down into specific control points to quickly identify the cause of service-affecting problems. In addition, Infobright’s deep-data compression will enable Sonus customers to keep longer data history for trending analysis, which uses significantly less disk storage.
Using Infobright with our Network Analytics solutions provides our customers with outstanding database query performance, especially for ad-hoc analytics and instantaneous drill-down into large volumes of CDR data. This delivers a preemptive, results-oriented approach to managing the overall network performance.
