Fuseforward's Intelligent Infrastructure Management™ platform is designed to support advanced asset management, operations management, and “intelligent” system management in asset-intensive enterprises such as cities, utilities, campuses and transportation agencies, as well as their service providers, including facilities management firms and maintenance contractors. Fuseforward is embedding Infobright Enterprise Edition into the ISM Utility Edition that it is developing in partnership with a Canadian utilities provider, Utilities Kingston (UK). This “Smart Utility” solution is designed to support all aspects of utility management, including customer relations, operations management, financial management and performance management, as well as smart metering and Smart Grid technologies.
Challenge
A key component of the ISM application is the powerful analysis capabilities it provides to the user for operations management and optimization. In order to support these capabilities, Fuseforward needed a high performance, cost-effective analytic database to embed within their application to contain the large volume of data their application captures.
