What will you do?
Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, you will apply your knowledge of QA test methodologies, practices, tools and technologies in an agile development environment. Your accountabilities will include the following:
Conducting manual & Automated Testing of new and existing features.
Logging of defects with clear and concise descriptions.
In partnership with the Development Team, resolving defects.
Developing scripts to automate functional and regression tests.
Writing and/or updating test plans and test cases to continually improve QA coverage.
Executing performance tests and analysis of system bottlenecks.
Planning and managing medium sized testing projects.
Investigating customer issues to reproduce and/or provide workarounds.
As a successful candidate, what skills will you possess?
A University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology coupled with 3+ years experience in a Software Quality Assurance Role.
Experience in writing test plans and test cases.
Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and databases (MySQL, Postgres experience is essential).
Proven experience with Linux (Unix) and shell scripting.
Experienced in test automation using scripting languages such as PHP, Perl, etc.
Experience with Scrum/Agile.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven organizational skills, analytical skills and multi-tasker who work well under pressure.
Proven ability to innovate in ways that contribute to the success of the business.
A strong team orientation combined with the drive and ability to contribute at the individual level.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal).
