Infobright is looking for an energetic and talented Quality Assurance professional with a keen interest in testing database software designed specifically to meet the needs of multi-terabyte-sized data applications. We are looking for analytical people who like to get to the root of the problem. Major responsibilities are:
Execute Manual & Automated Testing of new and existing features
Log defects with clear and concise descriptions
Interface with Development to resolve defects as needed
Develop scripts to automate functional and regression tests
Write/Update test plans and test cases to continually improve QA coverage
Execute performance tests and analyse system bottlenecks
Plan and manage medium sized testing projects
Investigate customer issues to reproduce and/or provide workarounds
The key skills/experience we are looking for are:
2+ years experience in a Software Quality Assurance Role
University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Experienced in writing test plans and test cases
Good knowledge of SQL and databases (MySQL, Postgres experience is a plus)
Familiar with Linux (Unix) and shell scripting
Experienced in test automation using scripting languages such as PHP, Perl, etc.
